Welcoming the Year of the Water Snake begins with a big and happy party as TV5 joins the Chinese New Year celebration in Binondo this coming Saturday (February 9). Kids and kids at heart will be thrilled to see Kidlat star Derek Ramsay in full superhero gear at the Chinese New Year Parade which will start at 9:00AM.
Joining Derek are his Kidlat co-stars Wendell Ramos and Ritz Azul. The crowd will also swoon and fall in love with the young stars of the upcoming romantic drama Never Say Goodbye — Artista Academy's Vin Abrenica and Sophie Albert. Also adding music and color to the celebration are the finalists of TV5's newest reality singing competition Kanta Pilipinas and Jeepney Jackpot's very own pimped-out ride, "Jip-Jip". To round up this fun-filled weekend, TV5 has also prepared other attractions the whole family will surely enjoy such as dragon-and tiger-dancers and plenty of fireworks.
The parade will start at the corner of DasmariƱas and Marquina in the heart of Binondo and will go around Ongpin, Binondo Plaza and Binondo Church (Minor Basilica of San Lorenzo Ruiz). Derek and the rest of the TV5 celebrity contingent will also pass through Sto. Cristo before it proceeds to El Cano St. and ends at San Fernando.
After its successful tour of the Visayas during Sinulog and Dinagyang, TV5 comes back to Manila to bring fun and excitement to everyone, living up to the network's motto of "Happy Maging Kapatid". Entering the New Year stronger than ever, expect TV5 to reach more grounds and bring more happiness to Kapatids all over the country.
