Metro Manila is one of the five most polluted cities in the world, according to the World Health Organization (WHO) and United Nations Environment Program (UNEP). And Filipinos are facing health hazards brought about by unclean air. What is the government doing to address this? Is the Clean Air Act being implemented well in our country?
This Saturday (Mar 10) in "Failon Ngayon," broadcast journalist Ted Failon investigates the issue and looks at what the government is doing to address the problem and how the Clean Air Act has been implemented in the country.
Ted listens to the story of Rosa, a street vendor, and Randy, a jeepney driver as they share how they endured dealing with air pollution everyday while doing their jobs and how it actually made them ill.
Almost 4,968 people die annually of respiratory and cardiovascular diseases due to various diseases, based from a study made by the World Bank and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
Don't miss Ted's complete report in "Failon Ngayon," this Saturday (Mar 10), 4:30 p.m. on ABS-CBN.
