A Peek Inside TESDA's Mobile Training Bus Project in 'Patrol ng Pilipino'

In a bid to provide employment opportunities for poor Filipinos, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) launched the Mobile Training (Park and Train) Bus in February for people of underprivileged communities so that they can be trained in technical-vocational education.

Tomorrow (March 20) in "Patrol ng Pilipino," Gretchen Malalad will show how the project has given hope and help to the residents who have received training in practical skills courses in the Ondoy-hit Brgy. Silangan, Quezon City, where majority of the residents are either unemployed or are street vendors.

Aside from the free training in courses such as Electrical Installation at Maintenance at Community Disaster Management Program in the mobile bus, graduates will be granted with a TESDA certification and a toolkit to help them practice their craft and find a job.

Meanwhile, join Dominic Almelor as he visits homes in Muntinlupa and San Pedro, Laguna that have sustained seismic tremors. He will find out if Filipinos are prepared for a killer earthquake and the measures taken by experts from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), UP National Institute of Geological Sciences (UP-NIGS), and government agencies to ensure the well-being of Filipinos.

Know the stories behind the news in "Patrol ng Pilipino" tomorrow (Mar 20) in "Patrol ng Pilipino" after "Bandila" on ABS-CBN, or watch it earlier on DZMM TeleRadyo (SkyCable Channel 26), 9:15 p.m.
