The 'Mission Menu' Gang Rescues Failing Restaurants

TLC's exciting new series Mission Menu follows three international executive chefs – Giuseppe "G" Bologona, Ricardo Cardona and Diane DiMeo – as they employ their unique culinary skills to overhaul existing restaurant businesses, and sometimes help launch news ones. The passionate chefs help struggling restaurants find their way and stop at nothing to ensure that their clients find success. Mission Menu premieres every Monday at 10:00 pm, beginning May 14 on TLC. Encores on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m.

The greatest executive chefs in the world are not masters of just one cuisine – they are ambassadors of food. Whether the fare is French, Thai or fusion, master chefs employ their experience, tastes and talent to combine flavors and ingredients to create culinary artistry. With this rare expertise, the Mission Menu team of Giuseppe Bologona, Ricardo Cardona and Diane DiMeo are approached by restaurant owners of all varieties to help save their failing businesses.

Master chef Giuseppe "G" Bologona is the main person who liaises with the restaurateurs. With a passion and talent for putting new twists on any cuisine, the Brooklyn-born businessman also helps ensure that the team stays within their budget for each mission. Ricardo Cardona is an award-winning chef and owner of several successful restaurants. The dishes he creates are as fiery as his temper! The sassy Diane DiMeo has years of experience in the food industry, having work with many top restaurants and almost every type of cuisine. The bodacious bombshell is one of very few female executive chefs – and undoubtedly Mission Menu's secret ingredient! The Mission Menu chefs are assisted by Meat, the team's apprentice. Meat aspires to become a chef and does his best to help out in any way he can.

In each episode, the Mission Menu team meets with the owner of the struggling restaurant to pinpoint the reasons for their failure – and to create a game plan for future success. They taste-test the food, identify problem areas and consult with culinary experts both locally and internationally, including Buddy Valastro from TLC's Cake Boss. With that knowledge in hand, the team then heads to their chef laboratory where they design delectable dishes for customers to sink their teeth into. Also, through travel and exploration, the chefs learn local traditions and discover new-found spices along the way, to create exciting new dishes for their clients.

The pressure is on as these superstar chefs use their gastro-expertise to reimagine entire restaurant concepts – from creating new flavorful and innovative dishes to changing the overall cuisine of the restaurant. From red-hot Mexican fare and true-blue Italian to Hawaiian-inspired menus and Korean cuisine, tune in and watch how the MISSION MENU chefs work with frustrated restaurateurs to spice up their menus and ensure that their businesses are not just a flash in the pan.
